Role Description
The primary objective of this job is to develop a vision for the brand and create strategic
plans to support the vision, build strong tactical marketing plans to achieve objectives and
provide guidance on tactical marketing components. Develops and manages the P/L for
the brand.
•Develop plans and programs to establish and maintain long-range markets for our
•Maintain and improve product performance in the consumer market
•Work with agencies to create and improve ad copy
•Develop media, promotion and market plans
•Prepare market research programs for product development
•Develop sales plans, packaging costs and design improvements
•Coordinate brand activities with other internal departments
•May supervise Assistant and Associate Product Managers

•Develops a vision for the brand and creates strategic plans to support the vision. Builds
strong tactical marketing plans to achieve objectives. Provides guidance on tactical
marketing components.
•Develops, owns and manages the P&L for the brand. Provides input and
recommendations into the P&L for the brand. Understands how the brand's profitability
impacts the management of the portfolio.
•Applies fundamental marketing skills to ensure plans will achieve goals and
demonstrates an understanding of the competition, consumers, customers and retailers.
•Applies an understanding of relevant internal and external data trends to the planning
process. Integrates relevant information and resolves any discrepancies in trends or data.
•Develops a working knowledge of the company and leverages the expertise and input of
cross-functional partners.
•Holds self and others accountable for delivering against plans and works to remove
•Encourages innovation in colleagues to support a culture of innovation. Generates new
and creative ideas to drive brand growth that are consistent with brand strategy.
•Maintains and develops relationships with key internal and external partners.
Collaborates with partners to maintain a focus on marketing priorities and help them
understand the business context for those priorities.

The incumbent in this position should be able to apply fundamental marketing skills to
ensure plans will achieve goals and demonstrate an understanding of the competition,
consumers, customers and retailers. The incumbent should encourage innovation in
colleagues to build and support a culture of innovation.
•MBA preferred (Marketing or a related field with a minimum of 3 years experience
(Sales, Marketing, Research, etc))
•Demonstrated analytical, collaborative and consultative abilities
•Excellent presentation, prioritization, and communication skills
•Excellent project management and budgeting skills
•OTC or Consumer experience required
